Since 1996 Vopec Pharmaceuticals has been pioneering and manufacturing quality Ayurveda and Siddha formulations. We combine modern biotech research methods with rich, ancient Indian knowledge of the curative effects of native botanical plants to formulate the best-in-class Ayurveda and Siddha medicines.

Our product formulations use highly validated herbal extracts and isolates, are processed under strict SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and are clinically tested. We are proud to say that there is a proven efficacy in all of our products.

Statutory Compliance:

The Government of India’s DSIR (Department of Scientific & Industrial Research) recognizes Vopec Pharmaceutical’s in-house research and development facility. We are licensed to manufacture Ayurveda and Siddha formulations including sashtric products and food supplements. Vopec also holds an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Certificate, a GMP Certificate and FSSA License to manufacture nutraceuticals.

Membership Organizations:

Vopec is a stake holder in TACT (Traditional Ayush Cluster of Tamil Nadu (P) Ltd.) a company promoted by the Government of India under an AYUSH Cluster development program in a PPP (Public Private Partnership) model to facilitate the following:

Raw material banking of medicinal herbs
High tech common testing facilities to test raw materials and finished products
Research and development work on product development, process validation, quality control etc. of the cluster companies
Manufacture of soft gel herbal formulations and nutraceutical capsules
Undertaking clinical trials and preparation of documents for the new products
Preparation of documents that required for registration of products in other countries to facilitate export

Management:

Since 2013, Dr. Baskaran Pillai’s visionary guidance has led to several innovations for Vopec Pharmaceuticals including CTRI registered clinical trials on Nisore Oil, a psoriasis therapeutic (later licensed to Lupin Pharmaceuticals) and Amrta Karuna, an anti-viral, immunomodulatory syrup for viral infections including Covid-19. Dr. Pillai’s deep understanding of the Siddha tradition has led to several breakthrough, herbal therapeutic medicines.

Managing the Vopec team is Thiru. M. Kannan, former Director of Drugs Control Tamil Nadu State, having more than 36 years of experience in the enforcement of Drugs and Cosmetics Act. He takes upmost care to provide quality medicines to the public and his knowledge and experience is a guiding force to the company.
